Newsday.com: Dead Soldier's Kin Want Sibling GIs Home

Newsday.com: Dead Soldier's Kin Want Sibling GIs Home If you join the National Guard, you should know that you might have to go to war The national guard is not just a school program. You join because you want to protect the country. I still don;t understand why people join and then want to leave after they are sent somewhere. I know if I joined I would not be bitching about it. You take an oath to defend the US from its enemies, not to just play soldier a couple weekends out tof the year and then get paid to go to school.
