What are they thinking?

Kerry starts to woo veterans - The Washington Times: Nation/Politics - June 05, 2004 Do they really think that they are going to win the veteran vote. "John Kerry is going to get the veteran vote. Even if it has been Republican in the past, we are going to carry it." Who are they kidding. Most of the veterans are against Kerry and most who fought with him don't think he should be president. "I think most vets understand this election is not about Vietnam," said Col. Repya, who served 18 years in the Army Reserves and 10 years on active duty, including tours in Vietnam and Operation Desert Storm. "This election is about who can win the war on terror." If Kerry thinks just because he was in Vietnam ( for 4 months), he is crazy. Just read the letter I posted a little while ago about how most veterans thinks of Kerry and his war record. You earned a Silver Star in Vietnam for chasing down and finishing off a wounded and retreating enemy soldier. (A violation of the Geneva Convention) You received three purple hearts for what appears to be three minor scratches. In fact, you only missed a combined total of two days of duty for these wounds. I really think they don't realize how much the veterans and military soldiers detest Kerry. Yet, as chairman of a Senate committee looking into allegations that many of your fellow servicemen had been left behind as prisoners in Vietnam, you chose to defend the brutal Vietnamese regime. As a Senator you voted against the 1991 Gulf War, and have repeatedly voted against funds to supply our troops with the best equipment, and against money to improve our intelligence capability. This is just one of the many veterans and soldiers letters to Kerry.
