Poll: Bush wins converts among speech-watchers

Hattip to Captain ED How are the Democrats going to counter this one. Are they going to keep on blocking everthing Bush sends to congress. If they do, are they in jeopardy of loosing more people. We'll see. Hopefully his high approval rantings will stay up and people will see that Bush is a lot smarter than anyone gave him credit for. He had a plan and went through with it and didn't cow-tow to the Democrats and went straight forward. He did do some things that I did not agree with though. He needs to be more fically conservative and mnot give in to the Democrats. He reminds me a lot of what Reagan was like. If all of what he wants to be passed through congress gets passed, I think he will be regarded as one of the best presidents ever. Just look at what happened to Reagan, it took a little while for his accomplishments to sink in. He defeated Communism and brought our country out of a funk that Carter gave to this country.
Thursday, February 3, 2005 Posted: 5:24 AM EST (1024 GMT) (CNN) -- President Bush's State of the Union address raised support for his policies on health care and Social Security among people who watched the speech, according to a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll conducted Wednesday night. The percentage of respondents who said the president's proposals in those areas will help the country rose 15 points from when the same question was asked of the same people in the two days before the speech.
